For Custom Shade Sails, we offer two different main fabric lines. Monotec and Comshade.
(Other fabrics are available on a limited basis)
Monotec
Monotec is an all monofilament shade cloth that is the strongest shade cloth on the
market. It is most appropriate for larger Shade Sails. Fabric creases along fold lines
take longer in the sun under tension to go away.

Polyfab Comshade
Comshade (Comtex) is a commercial quality monofilament and tape fill shade
cloth. This is the same fabric manufacture that we use in our Eclipse "Ready
Made" sails. Though it is heavier grade. So the colors match our "Ready Mades"

Comtex passes most fire codes and has been tested against NFPA, ASTM and
CA Fire Marshal standards. Limited colors are available as "FR Comshade"
which pass virtualy all World Wide applicable Flame resistance tests.
(Sandstone, Porcelain, Aquamarine, Midnight Green, Blue Gum). We
recommend Comtex for most applications where a fire rating is required. FR Comshade is recommended when the highest fire rating is desired.
