We have some stock engineering plans
for either a 20' or 15'
hyperbolic parabola based structures.
plans are available with either single hyperbolic shape or a
chain (multiples) of them. These plans are
suitable for getting permits
in most States and have been
prepared by a licensed structural engineer. They include
drawings, calculation package and are "wet stamped". $750

are our sails the best?
To
achieve that taut tensile fabric look, you need to start out with a
sail that
is properly made and installed correctly. Don't be fooled by catalog
sails
that hang limp. These Shade Sails are of our own manufacture and are
not
available anywhere else. Also, look at
the hardware "they" offer, then
look at ours. Our hardware is intended for tension loads and are load
rated.
Their's are intended for a picnic. We have pull tested our sails at
over a ton
of force. Combined with our "load rated" hardware the systems we offer
are designed to give you a trouble free installation. These are serious
tensioned fabric structures not a picnic tarp!!

fabric - round monofilament fibers means stays cleaner and is

filler. 3 times
stronger than mono/tape
type cloth.
Cloth is made in Australia not China or Indonesia.

strong Marine Grade Stainless Steel Corner Rings. Reinforced
with
multiple layers
of cloth and webbing.

use a Double Row of Locking Stitch (not a chain stitch used by our
competitors.
ShadeZilla
are sewn with "Tenara" (Goretex) thread that is warranted for
over 10 years against UV breakdown..This thread cost 100X
more than
normal Dacron!!

made with heavy duty commercial quality high density polyethylene shade
material. They have 2" reinforcing webbing around the
perimeter and a welded closed
'marine" stainless steel "D" ring at each corner. These sails are ideal
for
gardens,
entry ways, play areas, and pools. They can provide attractive
protection over car parking spaces. Stretch them between trees, well
grounded
posts or existing structures. Simple to follow installation
instructions are
included, and all materials you require are available from our Hardware
Page. Please

is Tenara
® sewing thread?
Tenara
® sewing thread is made from
100% expanded PTFE (PolyTetraFlouroEthylene)
The one significant difference between conventional Teflon®
threads
and
Tenara®
sewing
threads is that Tenara® sewing thread is
manufactured
from 100% expanded
PTFE. Expanded PTFE is two to three times stronger
than conventional PTFE.
Is
Tenara®
sewing thread used to sew garments made with GORE-TEX® fabric?
No.
Tenara® sewing thread is designed for use in outdoor canvas
products.
It makes
sense because the outdoor products are outside and exposed to
the environment all the time. Garments are only outside some of the
time.
PTFE's
inherent chemical resistance insures it will not rot or mildew and
prevents deterioration due to cleaning solutions, motor oils, and other
destructive substances. More
importantly PTFE is unaffected by
ultraviolet radiation and will not degrade from
continuous sun
exposure. Products
sewn
with
Tenara® sewing thread will not require restitching every few
years!
